LAURA PRACTICES A PATH OF MUTUAL LOVE FOR ALL LIFE!

Animals value their lives every bit as much as humans do. However, humans can be so cruel, and selfish with regards to animal life. We slaughter billions of animals each year for meat, when we can be healthier eating a plant based diet. We annually torture millions more in needless laboratory experiments. Wild animals are killed for their fur, as it is ripped off their still warm bodies. Then countless others are forced to perform demeaning tricks in road side zoos, and circuses for our amusement.

Laura, a well known animal activist backed her morals and negated such killings. She laid her foundation for the ethical treatment of animals, and began an animal right’s group in the early 90’s called “Marion County Voices for animals” located in Central Florida. The group’s protest have been against animal experiments, the pet trade, the fur trade, hunting, and the meat industry. Furthermore, MCVA successfully petitioned the Marion County Animal Shelter to stop using the outdated, and cruel decompression chamber to kill un-wanted animals, and switch to the more humane lethal injection. Presently, Laura is a board member for ‘The Animal Right’s Foundation of Florida.” ARFF is the largest animal welfare group in the state of Florida.

On National Hot Dog Day in Washington DC, Laura collaborated with PETA and served veggie hot dogs. Laura modelled as a Lettuce Lady, wearing a lettuce bikini to encourage people, mainly targeting the politicians and interns, to adapt a vegan lifestyle. Famous celebrities like Pamela Anderson were also a part of this event.

Laura Guttridge & Her Endless Love For Animals

Laura questions what stops us from respecting other living beings? She believes it’s simply our selfish approach towards life, and that it needs to stop. In her opinion, the reckless slaughter of animal life not only hurts the animals, but it also hurts our own humanity. Perhaps Mahatma Gandhi said it best……. ‘The greatness of a nation, and it’s moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
